Chakra Alignment

Purpose This spread maps your energetic body through the seven-chakra system, revealing which energy centers are flowing freely and which need attention. Based on the ancient Hindu/yogic tradition of chakras combined with Western esoteric tarot, this spread provides a holistic scan from primal survival instincts (Root) to transcendent spiritual connection (Crown). The vertical layout mirrors the spine, the traditional pathway of kundalini energy.

When to use it Use when feeling energetically off-balance, emotionally blocked, or disconnected from your body. Excellent for regular self-check-ins, before beginning healing work, or when physical symptoms may have energetic roots. Also valuable during spiritual development phases, after trauma processing, or when preparing for meditation/yoga practice.

When to avoid it Not designed for practical decision-making questions (career, relationships, finances). Avoid if you're seeking external answers rather than inner work. Not a substitute for medical diagnosis - if you have physical symptoms, see a healthcare provider. Also not ideal if you're unfamiliar with or skeptical of the chakra system - this spread assumes resonance with the framework.

How to read it Read from bottom (ROOT) upward to CROWN, mirroring the natural rise of energy. Notice which chakras show blockage (challenging cards, reversals) versus flow (positive cards). The four-element system maps to chakras: Pentacles relate to lower chakras (Root, Sacral), Cups to Heart/Sacral, Wands to Solar Plexus/Sacral, Swords to upper chakras (Throat, Third Eye). Look for gaps in the flow where energy might be stuck.

How the positions relate ROOT and SACRAL together reveal your relationship with safety, pleasure, and physical existence

SOLAR_PLEXUS as the power center - how does it relate to HEART above and SACRAL below?

HEART_CHAKRA is the bridge between lower (physical) and upper (spiritual) chakras

THROAT and THIRD_EYE together: can you speak your truth and see clearly?

ROOT to CROWN arc shows the complete energy flow from earthly to divine

Where is the lowest blockage? Energy cannot rise freely past a closed chakra
