Using Correspondences in Practice

In Tarot Readings:

When a zodiac-linked card appears, consider:

• Is this person a [sign]?
• Does this situation relate to [sign] energy?
• What [sign] qualities are needed here?

In Astrology:

When interpreting a natal chart:

• What tarot cards represent key placements?
• What story do these cards tell together?
• What tarot wisdom applies to this transit?

For Personal Growth:

• Study the tarot card for your Sun sign
• Explore the card for your Rising sign
• Work with cards representing challenging placements

Deepening the Connection

The relationship between tarot and astrology is not arbitrary - both systems emerged from the same hermetic wisdom traditions. They describe the same archetypal energies using different symbolic languages.

Fire cards (Wands) share the same active, creative, inspirational quality as fire signs. Earth cards (Pentacles) embody the same practical, material, grounding energy as earth signs. Air cards (Swords) carry the same mental, communicative, objective quality as air signs. Water cards (Cups) flow with the same emotional, intuitive, deep energy as water signs.

Beyond the basics, you can explore:

• Minor Arcana number cards and planetary rulers
• Tarot card journeys through the zodiacal year
• Birth chart placements expressed through tarot spreads
